First things first. We won’t rush your eye test.
Growing up, my dad had a detached retina, causing him to lose his entire sight in his right eye. That piqued my interest in eyes from an early age, and today it drives me professionally to deliver the best eye tests we can at Orrell Opticians.
It’s also why I’m so keen to invest in state-of-the-art eye testing technology, such as OCT, Optomap & VisiOffice. This brings hospital grade eye testing to the heart of Ellesmere Port.
Our frame brands and ranges are also second to none, and you can be sure we will frame style you the right way.
It takes time to comprehensively test your eyes and capture your eyewear style to a tee.

At Orrell Opticians, great eye tests have been happening here since 1937, when Jack Orrell opened the practice in Ellesmere Port.
Our patients demand (and receive!) an excellent eye care experience by a meticulous optician using modern technology.
However, that’s just part of what you want; you also want to find your perfect glasses that compliment your look and your style. To get you there, you need an Enhanced Eye Test and a fabulous choice of handpicked eyewear brands from around the world.
The problem is, the majority of eye tests in Cheshire are by the mainstream opticians, so it oftentimes feels rushed. With so many patients booked in, that's the inevitable customer experience we often hear about.

I feel that the service is very thorough.
The equipment is state of the art but the testing is still very personal.
All the staff are really pleasant and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
The reception/ waiting area is spotless and very attractively decorated and the display of frames most attractive.
I needed to ring up afterwards for a copy of my prescription which should have been given to me while I was there. It was then promptly emailed to me
